What makes ACI42x so secure?

The readers have two major security features:

• The ACI42x range follows OSDP V2.17 (Open Supervised Device Protocol) which ensures an end to end secure communication between the readers and the controllers using an encryption;
• ACI42x readers also support Mifare® cards, which allow custom security keys to be used, for the end-user to be fully in control. The reader supports Mifare® CSN as well as Mifare® Desfire EV1/EV2/EV3 cards.

Here is a sneak preview of the other key features:

• The readers include an embedded BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) solution, which is required to support mobile credentials.
• A variety of models: The ACI42x range of readers come in 4 different models, all provided with a 3m pigtail cable.The four models are in robust housing, with a modern and branded design for indoor or outdoor mounting, and 3 multi-colour LEDs!
• It’s open! The readers can be used on 3rd party access control devices supporting OSDP as well as CDC4, for a complete and connected security system.

The reader address is configured using address cards. These are bundled in packs of four for address 1 through 4, or address 5 through 8.
