The ACI42x-W readers provide a strong secure communication between the readers and the cards.

Although with the Wiegand interface the connection from the reader to the controller is not secured, the ACI42x-W series of readers keeps the cards data secure from the card to the reader and therefore offer an improved security compared to traditional proximity readers.

The ACI42x-W readers are ideal for retrofitting access control platforms, readers and keypads when the wiring between reader and controller cannot be updated.

What improves security with ACI42x-W?

ACI42x-W readers support encrypted Mifare® cards, which allow custom security keys to be used, putting the end user in control. The reader supports Mifare® CSN as well as Mifare® Desfire EV1/EV2/EV3 cards.

• The readers include an embedded BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) solution, which is required to support mobile credentials.
• A variety of models: The ACI42x-W range of readers comes in 4 different models, all provided with a 3m pigtail cable. The four models are in robust housing, with a modern and branded design for indoor or outdoor mounting, and 3 multicolor LEDs!
• It’s open! The readers can be used on 3rd party access control devices supporting Wiegand as well as CDC-2DWIF and ATS1170 Wiegand interfaces.
